Jiřice u M. Budějovic

A small village with just about 60 inhabitants hides several places in its surroundings which you shouldn´t miss for sure. On the hill close to the village the lovely wooden observation tower Anička rises to the height of 11,5 meters. If you want to have a look at the surroundings from the altitute of 390 meters, it is suffice to climb up 44 wooden steps. The observation tower is framed by a recreational site with a Meditative Stations of the Cross created by the artist Bedřiška Znojemská. In Jiřice you can also find the Fire Museum which will show you round the fireman´s work as long as to the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries.
